History
Throughout the years, the Queen’s College Tourism Club has been an exceptional society to enlighten students about the many cultures and ways of life through travel. However, the club became non-functional for quite some years, and there was a negative effect towards students’ opportunities to learn about diverse cultures nationally, regionally, and internationally. It was not until 2026, when five brave and nature - driven girls of Grade 9C took it upon themselves to re-establish the club. With the assistance of teachers and motivation from their peers, they sought approval for their vision. On February 10th, 2026, the club was declared active and is growing rapidly. As of August 2026, the club has a total of seventy - eight members, including 13 executive members.

Purpose
To offer students the opportunity to engage in experimental learning activities outside the
classroom, cultivate an appreciation for various locations and cultures (national, regional, and
international), support and improve social and
leadership skills.
Alignment
A Tourism Club aligns with aschool’s
mission by promoting cultural awareness, national pride, and learning beyond the classroom. Through
field trips, research, and presentations, students develop teamwork, communication, and critical
thinking skills. The club also exposes students to tourism-related careers and encourages
community
service and environmental responsibility, supporting the school’s goal of producing
well-rounded, responsible, and globally aware individuals.
